The spa is visually stunning, nestled in lush, tropical trees and plants, it's a series of walled rooms with billowing white curtains and outdoor plunge pools where you can listen to the wildlife outside while being pampered. Signature Banyan Tree treatments include a choice of seven body scrubs and six body wraps, which can be personalized for custom made treatments to renew, revive, replenish and restore your skin. Finish with a Thai, Hawaiian Lomi Lomi or Balinese massage, but the ultimate treat is the seven hour long Banyan Day which pampers from top to toe.
Later in the room, couples can re-kindle romance with the Intimate Moments package. A flower sprinkled bath is run, champagne on ice and after a massage each, a lesson in couples massage is on the menu, the rest is up to you!

Seriously luxurious - certainly deserves to be listed as a 'world's best spa'.
The Seychelles are amazing all round, and quite varied - small ‘Robinson Crusoe’ islands as well as larger islands, such as the mainland where this resort is located. An all year round ~30 degrees climate and warm seas, friendly service, great food from a choice of restaurants and restrained but stylish decor make this my favorite Banyan Tree resort.
Each villa has a private pool and all the spa treatments are available in your private pavilion. It's easy to just lose yourself in the whole experience. The spa treatments are varied and flawless - as good as you could hope for in the best spas in major cities, Bali, Thailand, India, etc.
Only downside is that the Seychelles are a fairly expensive place to visit - if you are only going for the treatments, there are cheap places, including the other Banyan Tree resorts.
