If you want to be pampered, to have your every whim attended to, then head to the Maldives where they really now a thing or two about luxury. One of the most appealing of the numerous exclusive resorts is the Beach House At Manfaru. A short domestic flight from Male International Airport, the Beach House is isyllically situated amidst coral reef lagoons of implausible hues. It’s a truly stunning location. Service isn’t too shabby either and guests are assigned their own butler on arrival to deal with the whim-tending. The 68 thatch-roofed villas are all stylishly furnished and come with the seemingly obligatory private pool. And then there’s the Spa, always a highlight of a place like this: think sauna and plunge pools and baths laden with petals plus the usual array of Ayurvedic, Thai and Swedish treatments. If this isn’t bliss, it’s pretty damn close.
