I agree with most other reviews, except some of the other comments about the staff. I found them very professional and polite. Of course, it's expensive!
Larsen, Copenhagen 18/8/2008Favourite place in Paris, and l have lived there for six years! Great staff! Had not made reservations but my table was available on time as advised by staff! This is a great Parisian experinece, a must do!!!!
June Hossel, Nairobi 26/6/2008My husband and I have eaten here a couple times and intend to return during our next visit to Paris. We learned the first time that reservations are a must, as they are in any decent restaurant in America or anywhere else for that matter. No big suprise. The atmosphere and music are fantastic, our food and cocktails were excellent (it is expensive, but it's Paris, what do you expect?). The waitstaff were very professional (though not the friendliest). Overall, we love this place and would recommend it to anyone interested in having an amazing, memorable dining experience in Paris.
AmyP, Salt Lake City, UT 27/3/2008Best sushi I ever had - and yes, the music is fantastic.
Evy, Copenhagen 12/3/2008I would NOT recommend this place to anybody and do NOT ever think about showing up there without reservation. You will be so disappointed as I am now. I've been a big fan of Buddha's music and its style till the very moment that was turned down at the front door by an arrogant doorman. No hard feelings, but that's never happened to me in America.
Peter Ramirez, Peoria, AZ 11/2/2008I must admit that reading these reviews leaves me a little amazed. I live in London but I am a regular visitor to Buddha Bar. The reason I go there? Well I think the staff are extremely professional and have bags of personality, all the drinks are made with premium liqueurs, so frankly if you think it's expensive, you should stay wherever you are, drink average drinks made and serverd by some waitress who hardly speaks any english and will feed your ego.
Go to the place with an open mind and enjoy the escape and the journey the world class DJs have to offer. Buddha Bar Rocks - and I swear I don't work there!
Good fusion food (but certainly not award winning and certainly not to the standard of London's finest), great music (but then they have a string of celebrated CDs), amazing decor (the 50ft buddha is obvious but it still works) and snotty staff (as you'd expect in a place that needs to justify its "optimistic" drinks price list). Go if you want to experience something different in Paris, don't go if you are sensitive to bad service or on a budget. The bold and the beautiful of Paris attend regularly, giving the head honcho his money's worth from the handcrafted "reserved" signs.
Jo Daly, London 03/5/2007Yes, the place is really amazing and the decoration is just perfect but I wouldn`t recommend this place for anyone! It`s just a waste of time and money, especially due to the very, very bad service. You pay high amounts, the prices are really absurd, and you have to see the ugly face of the waitress (they treat you like crap, as if they are doing a favor for you - unless you have a Ferrari outside). Avoid.
Roberta, Sao Paulo 21/2/2007Great place to have fun. REMEMBER, this is the place to dance, the speciality is MUSIC not food. The staff at the bar were incredibly friendly.
Araceli Rojas, Mexico 23/11/2005Arrogant waiters, ridiculously expensive, no service and they have never heard of hospitality. In the end we went to a different restaurant and had a great night...
Jurjen, Amsterdam 24/10/2005I have been there twice and found the staff to be very friendly and polite. It's a great place to people watch and enjoy a glass or two of Dom Perignon. The romantic music just enhances the whole experience!
Susana Travis, Sarasota. Fl. 26/8/2005My hubby and I were there in May and had a wonderful time. Our server was a very nice young woman and was more than helpful. We will definitely go back.
Deborah Proctor, Nashville TN USA 17/6/2005Very nicely decorated, good atmosphere. We had no problems getting in. But very crowded on Friday night and VERY expensive. 9 euros for a Corona beer was a bit to much for my wallet.
Dino, Gent 14/3/2005Nice place to see and great music. But people (staff) there is more than arrogant; it is rude. I can accept some arrogance from the King of Spain; but from the wardrobes girl or the waitress?-Come on!

Do not go there during the weekend! Too crowded. No room at the bar or places to sit. People keep on bumping into you while you are enjoying your drink.
Piet Hein, Rotterdam 09/12/2004The place it is amazing, but the staff are so arrogant, in some cases awkward. Come on it is only a nice place!!!
The Music? Barbaro!!
I've been here a few times - both for cocktails upstairs and for dinner downstairs. Always buzzing and full of the 'beautiful people' - music and food good but service has a tinge of arrogance.
Sophie Hudd, London 09/8/2004This bar is great, would love for my bedroom to be decorated like it! I ate here when it first opened a few years ago and have been going back ever since!
