This place is so cooooool!
bltbaby15, stamrord 09/11/2007A wonderful, wonderful look into the distant past. You hear life talking to you in this place of tranquility. Though please remember that this place really is for the grown-ups! You will be standing face to face with life and death. If your journey through the underworld proves to be too much for you, then maybe life's basic questions are something you will have to work on.
Mika Koponen, Reykjavik, Iceland 06/8/2007I never knew I was claustrophobic until I came here on a school trip. Now I tell friends, family, and strangers to avoid this place like the plague. I stopped breathing within minutes of descending the tiny spiral staircase deep underground and my friends had to carry me through the seemingly endless maze of skulls and bones. One of the worst experiences of my life.
m, los angeles 08/5/2006Seeing the Catacombes is a truly magical experience. Although I stumbled across the site by accident, the experience was well worth the time.
The tour and all signage is in French, so being an English speaker made the history lesson a little frustrating.
It is an indescribable experience that you will never forget.
Loula, Athens, Greece 19/1/2006Once you get past that you are walking past millions of Human bones, the catacombs reveal a wonderful history of Paris. Each Skull is dated when it was placed in the catacombs, and you are steeped in the Hundreds of years of history. You will catch yourself wondering about the lives of these people, and how much things have changed since their time, yet remain the same!
