After decades lying in the wellness spa doldrums, Turin has finally made its way onto the world stage with the arrival of the genre-bending Golden Palace hotel.
An imposing, Fascist-era building has been entirely converted into a grandiose, mildly ostentatious property that includes a daring 1200 sq.metre spa.
Run by Italy’s most celeb-friendly wellness company, Caroli Health Clubs, the Golden Spa is as hi-tech as they come. There has simply never been anything as ‘directional’ as this in Turin, so it was a brave design team indeed that took the leap into such uncharted waters.
In-pool exercise jets, the latest personal computer screens on every gym machine, hidden doors leading into 6 space-age treatment rooms and edgy photography lining the walls are just some of the touches that go towards making this spa a ground-breaker, both locally and internationally.
