If you’ve ever wondered how Gordon Ramsay channels all that pent-up energy he demonstrates in his various TV appearances into producing high-class cuisine, this fantastic establishment in Chelsea provides the perfect answer. Opened in 1998, it was recently named among the top five restaurants in the world and contains a range of exquisitely produced and presented dishes that is hard to match. The prices are far from prohibitive – a three-course lunch will cost you around £40 – while the atmosphere is intimate, relaxed and tinged with Ramsay’s trademark purple. It is one of only three restaurants in the UK to have been awarded three Michelin stars, and its mixture of the traditional (roast saddle of lamb, tortellini of lobster) and the contemporary (sauteed loin of venison with creamed cabbage and bitter chocolate sauce) caters for everyone. Ramsay’s reputation transcended the UK long ago, so demand for a table will be high. And once you’ve sampled his fare, you and your companion will understand why.

Reviews of Gordon Ramsay's

An amazing experience. This is one of those places you should visit at least once in your life. While it can be expensive, the memory of that one meal is enough to get you through six more months at the office. If I could, I'd do it all over again. Hats off to the guys at Royal Hospital Road for making that lunch one of the best I've ever had!

While I find the man himself annoying in the extreme, there's no denying he is a master of his field. It won't be cheap but a meal in Gordon Ramsay's will be one of the best you'll ever eat.

When I stay in London Gordon Ramsey at Claridges is my favourite restaurant in London. Very excellent.

Go for the set lunch here - delicious food at affordable (well just about - if you go easy on the wines!) prices. Went for a special Birthday treat and had some mouth wateringly good pan fried fillet of Dorade Royale followed by a great selection of French cheeses. Service was impeccable. No sign of the great man though!

Certainly worth all the accolades that he is given, Gordon Ramsey has cooked up a delightful restaurant. I took my wife and the in-laws and expected a somewhat stressful evening but the food and exemplary service were such that any stresses were soon forgotten. Thank you Gordon Ramsey.
