Hong Kong lies opposite Kowloon on the mainland peninsula and, fittingly, to get the best views of Hong Kong you should head to the Peninsula Hotel. Not the lobby of course, but all the way up to Felix, the restaurant-bar at the 28th floor. Gaze through its glassy walls onto the smooth blue waters of Hong Kong Harbour, and let your breath be sucked away. Steel and glass skyscrapers like the Bank of China building reach for the sky and behind the buildings in a flourish of lush tropical green are the tree-covered slopes of Victoria Peak. In the bay, ancient Chinese dhows with billowing sails are reminders of centuries past, while the lights and skyscrapers in front of you are reminders of the world of the future. Only Manhattan from the Empire State Building can rival this for a futuristic urban view.

Just get a cup of coffee at Starbucks at East TST promenade and sit on the roof and enjoy the view, especially at night ! Amazing.

A breathtaking view! In my opinion it's the perfect place for vacationers in Hong Kong to spend their money on camera film to capture the scenery. One should always be careful of pick pockets though.

For a great view of Hong Kong Island, head to Aqua and buy yourself a cocktail. The views are panoramic and you don't have irritating blinds obscuring your view (as you do with the Felix bar). Settle down and enjoy the laser show in the evening.
