Les Jardins du Luxembourg remain a great area to escape what can be the choking pollution of Paris. They are like lungs for the city, especially when it is a hot day. Here there are extensive trees, lawns and flower gardens which really allow one to get into 'nature' in what can be a claustrophobic city.
