Hong Kong parks tend to be more concrete than green and the few blades of grass in the territory are more for show than a place to spread a blanket. But what they lack in lawn they make up in views, and Victoria Peak reigns supreme in vistas.
Take a thrilling ride in the Peak Tram up the nearly 400m high mountainside and stand on jutting rock peaks that overlook Victoria Harbour. You can see the green islands that dot the South China Sea and past that to mainland China. And below you are the mirrored skyscrapers that make up Hong Kong's Bladerunner skyline. Wander through the Peak's pathways, through forests of bamboo, fern, Chinese pines and hibiscus, to get other views of the island or a place to picnic. For the best pictures walk along Lugard Road where you can see both Victoria Harbour and the island's southern coast.
