French Riviera
St. Tropez is known for the celebrities that used to live there and the life they used to lead. Although going there is a delightful experience each time, the celebrities have left due to the overcrowded streets during the weekend and the crowd of tourists that come there to feel like they belong in such rich society. Me and my friends go there every summer because we have houses there. It is spectacular for a weekend, maybe a week, but not really worth staying any longer.
soothingeva, Geneva 07/9/2007It is amazing there. There is rarely a cloud in the sky. It is great if you know someone there who can tell you the best places and everything. It truely is one of the most beautiful places in the world. I would definitely recommend going. Oh and if you do, you must go to the Les Caves du Roy nightclub.
dg, Detroit 24/8/2007There are no words to describe how beautiful and fabulous Saint Tropez is. When a friend suggested we go there, I never imagined it was going to be the best trip of my life. I am anxious to go back on my next holidays!
Nara, Holland 25/11/2006Just the right balance of quaintness and bling - with its fishing village appearance and array of designer shops lining every cobbled street. Balmy evenings can be spent admiring the million dollar yachts, glancing at the Ferrari's and Porsche's as they fly by, then gorging on unbeatable food (much to the detriment of your wallet)! The Nikki Beach area served all our sea and sunbathing needs, with the exclusive coral (where you can lounge on beds and watch the beautiful people pose in their Gucci sunglasses). All in all, a beautiful, fun and relaxing place, where shopping, dining, lounging on beaches or just perusing local villages is the order of the day.
Charlotte Gallagher, London 02/8/2005St. Tropez is a great little town, full of the finer things in life! If you have champagne tastes on a beer budget, start saving now! Good food, wonderful atmosphere - a nice drive from Nice.
mesoblonda, Danville 14/10/2004The myth is hard to live up to - enjoyed sitting on the front, having a glass of Kir but found St. T overcrowded and over- priced - probably best to get some advice before you go to find out the best places.
