With an excellent average underwater visibility of 20-meters, you’ll be able to see the sunken cargo ship Victory as soon as you begin descending toward her. You’ll reach the main mast after diving only 12-meters deep. From here make your way along the impressive 110-meter vessel, swimming in and out of the large holds, through wide corridors, and down several staircases that are now home for beautiful fish, coral and sea turtles. Marine animals began making Victory their home within hours of her sinking in 1981, after she accidentally ran into the southwestern tip of Hulule Island at full speed. Today the Victory is one of the best Maldivian dive spots for more experienced divers – the large ship offers shelter from the strong currents that can make diving difficult and dangerous. To add a little excitement to your Maldivian holiday, get up off the beach and book a diving trip to the Victory wreck site.
